Nothing is secret to Saibaba.

There was an advocate from Pandaripur who happened to visit Shirdi and he was seated in the Mosque. It was morning time. Baba was worshipped in many ways by the devotees. Baba then started saying. People are coming here for Dharsan etc. But without notice of anybody they criticize me. None could understand except the advocate. It was actually aimed at him. When he was in the Pandarpur Bar room, many advocates were criticizing a sub judge Noolkar who used to go often to Shirdi Baba for alluviating his sufferings. They said, an educated officer like Noolkar is superstitious in believing a fakir in distant Shirdi. The advocate too participated in the criticism. Hence he understood that Baba pervades the space. The distance of 300 miles is no matter to him. He could hear whatever conversation takes place in distant places and he become convinced about Baba's power. Om Sai Ram.

Baba cured a boy from a severe ailment

There was professional Doctor from Malegaon.His nephew was suffering from an incurable disease, tuberculosis bone abcess. Even surgeries were performed but the boy was suffering inconsolably.Finally somebody councelled the boy's father to take him to Saibaba.When the boy was brought and placed before baba, Baba consoled the parents and said that those who has claimbed the steps of my mosque will not suffer from any troubles and their sufferings will come to end. Baba passed his hands over the affected parts and the boy enjoyed peace. By taking the holy vibuthi and applying on the parts, he was cured completely. Sairam

Bhuti was fortunate to have Baba's Samadhi in his wada.

Baba silently enabled things to happen. He has not announced or advertised his intentions. When Bhuti was sleeping, he had a mysterious dream in which Baba asked him to construct a Wada(Residence) with a temple. Actually Bhuti was thinking about constructing one building for his use at Shirdi. When the confirmation was received in dream, he was astonished. Simultaneously, Shama also had a similar dream in which Baba asked him for the construction of a wada with temple so that they all can live happily there, playing with each other. Due to coincident dreams, they consulted Baba and got His immediate approval for construction of Wada. Plans were drawn and thus the construction of Bhuti wada was commenced. On his way to lendi, Baba suggested many things and it was followed. Then they taught of constructing the temple in the centre and Baba was asked whether the time is propitious to which Baba replied in the affirmative. Coconuts were broken and the Puja performed for the temple portion. A statue of Sri Krishna was ordered for installation. Mysterious things happened in between. Suddenly Baba became ill and Buti was remorse that his large investment in the building will become waste if Baba could not present there. When Baba was about to lay down His mortal coil, He asked the devotees, "Take Me to the Wada, I will become alright". Thus the mortal remains of Samartha Sai was intered in the place meant for Sri Krishna's statue. Thus Baba become Krishna and Buti was fortunate to have the Samadhi of Sai in his new wada. Dada Kelkar, a sincere and humble devotee.

Dada Kelkar was a humble and sincere devotee of Sai Baba. However, if Baba wants to test a devotee, who can escape. On an Ekadasi day, Baba asked Kelkar to go to "Gorala" and purchase meat(Dada Kelkar was a Pundit who had nothing to do with non-vegetarian food). But he was a follower of Baba in spirit. Hence he started proceeding to Gorala. Then Baba told him, "not to go and send his servant instead". Accordingly, the servant of Kelkar started proceeding to Gorala. Baba prevented this effort. Again one day when Baba was preparing "Pulav"(a meat product), he asked Dada Kelkar, whether the salt is sufficient in the Pulav? Dada simply said, Yes Baba. Baba scolded him saying, you have not seen the pulav. Better put something on your hand and taste it and put it on your food without bothering about your 'austerity'. Though Baba said like that, it is only to test the devotee. He never allowed vegetarians to touch the non-vegetarian food. In Sai Sat Charita, three kinds of devotees have been categorised. The first kind of devotee anticipate the requirement of the Guru and execute them without the Guru mentioning it. The second type of devotee just do as per the biddings of the Guru. The third type(lower variety) of devotees commit mistakes at each step and they do not follow the directions of the preceptor. Dada Kelkar proved himself worthy of the quality of best devotee and Baba too was satisfied by his obedience. Om Sai Ram.

Baba's simplicity

This Avatar is Mysterious. Though living in very humble surroundings, He was verily Paramatma. But He never let the people to view Him like that. He used to say, "i am only an ordinary Fakir" but God is great, and i am only a humble servant of God. If anybody takes this literally, a fine opportunity is lost to them. Baba is Shiva incarnate. He deluded everybody by his utter simplicity. He used to say, "Why people bring many things here? my possessions are the torn kafni, a stick and hookah! Why people trouble me with unnecessary things? Baba teaches us by His own simple life. He wants all of us to remain simple and contented with what God has bestowed on each. We should not become jealous of other's property or prosperity. If possible be happy when others are living in comforts. Pray for the welfare of All. Feel the pain of the poor and make them happy to the extent possible. God will bestow his blessings on you. Kaka Mahajani's friend and Baba.

Kaka Mahajani's friend once accompanied him to Shirdi on two conditions. He will not prostrate before Baba and he will not offer any Dakshina to Baba. Agreed to both the conditions, Kaka accompanied him to Shirdi. As soon as they entered the Masjid, Baba called Kaka's friend and told him in Marathi, "Kam Yavemji" meaning "why you have come" and mysteriously the voice resembled the friends father. This brought to his memory his father's voice and hence he climbed the steps of the Masjid and prostrated before Saibaba. Baba asked Kaka, "Dakshina". Twice he asked and it was given willingly by Kaka. Kaka's friend murmured to Kaka, stating that Baba is demanding "Dakshina" only from Kaka and not from Him. Kaka told his friend to ask Baba. Baba himself asked Kaka, "what his friend is murmuring". Then Kaka told him that his friend wants to give Dakshina. Baba told him, "he was not willing at first and if he wants he can give now". Thus Baba revealed the mind of his friend and this created faith in his friend for Saibaba.Sairam.

How Baba helped a lady in delivery?

There was a lady from Nasik who underwent immense sufferings during her delivery time and she was unable to bear those pains. Whenever she become pregnant, she used to fear much. During one such period, she consulted a devotee of Baba, for safe delivery. He advised her to go to Shirdi for the delivery time. The husband and wife went to Shirdi as directed and took Dharsan of Baba and stayed there praying for a safe delivery. When the woman developed labor, she could not bear the pain as usual. Suddenly a neighbour lady came and administered Udhi mixed with water to the lady. Within few minutes she delivered a baby. Though the baby died in the womb itself, she thanked Baba for ensuring a safe delivery

The efficacy of Baba's Udhi(Holy Ash)

Few incidents are mentioned here to show the power and efficacy of the holy ash(Udhi) distributed by Baba straight from the fire place. It is a fact that Baba was keeping the fire burning in the fire place wherein he used to feed the firewood. Whenever the morning programme or noon programme comes to close in the Masjid, Baba used to come out, stand there leaning on the wall and used to distribute the holy ash from the fireplace to one and all. He used to apply them on the brow of male devotees and gave it in their palm to female devotees. Now let us see the efficacy of the Udhi, Baba gave to the devotees. One day Shama's brother who was staying near Sahulveer came hurriedly to Shama and narrated that his wife is suffering from Bubonic Plague and she is suffering from high fever etc. Shama went to Baba and sought his permission to visit his brother's house. Baba declined saying, Do not go now. Go in the morning and come back, saying this he gave the Udhi. Shama asked his brother to apply the Udhi on the swellings and administer along with water to consume. Accordingly his brother left with the Udhi. The next morning, Shama went to the house of his brother and was surprised to note that his brother's wife was preparing tea. On enquiry he found that after the application of Udhi on the boils and taking some Udhi with water, she perspired heavily and her fever decreased and she had a good sleep in the night. Shama realised Baba's words "Go in the morning and come back". He returned to Shirdi and told Baba, " Baba! you first create fear and confusion and subsequently remove them. Baba said, i do not do anything. Allah is doing every thing and he simply repeat the same to the devotees". Sairam

Baba left his mortal coil during Dusserah(Vijayadasami)

In the life of Shirdi Saibaba, Dusserah celebrations are of significant importance. Saibaba has chosen "Vijayadasami" for shedding his mortal coil. Two years before the Samadhi, on the day of seemolangan, Baba was terribly angry. He tore his cloths and has thrown them in the fire as offering. The fire raised it tongues after consuming the offering. Devotees present in the Masjid were in panic. But the leper devotee who used to carry umbrella over Baba's head, approached Baba and succeeded in tying a new groin cloth. In fact, Baba was standing stark naked at the time. When devotees asked about the sudden fit of anger during "seemolangan'(crossing the borders) day, Baba said, "This is my seemolangan day". None could foresee any meaning of the words of Baba. Two years afterwards, Baba left his mortal coil at 2.30 PM on 15 Oct 1918,Tuesday. Baba laid his head on the shoulder of Bagoji, gave nine coins to Lakshmi Bai Shinde and said, "He is not comfortable in the Masjid, Take me to the wada(Buti wada) where i will become alright". These words were very significant. When there were arguments for disposing the body of Baba, people who respected Baba's final words, insisted on taking the body to Buti Wada and interring it in the place meant of Krishna. Saibaba's Divine body sleeps in the Butiwada and it is being visited and worshipped by millions around the year from everywhere in the globe. Sairam.
