Baba has indicated about his departure during 1916.

During Vijayadasami day of 1916, people were celebrating 'Seemolangan'(crossing the border). On that day Baba suddenly got wild, tore his 'kafni and the cloth wound around his head including the loin cloth and thrown them on the fire place. The fire started burning furiously after and he was standing stark naked. Everybody present in the mosque were stunned at the behaviour of Baba. The lepor devotee Bagoji went near him and succeeded in tying the loin cloth and the devotees told Baba, to day is "Seemolangan day". Baba thundered, to day is my "Seemolangan day". People thought that Baba will not calm down. Around 11 pm, Baba calmed down. Exactly two years after Baba left his mortal coil. Only to denote the future event, Baba got wild during 1916 Vijayadasami. Om Sai Ram.
